Just days before the arrival of Pesach, MK Kosher Montreal hosted its annual Super Sunday event — and the turnout was exceptional.
Hundreds of members of the Jewish community gathered for a full day of essential Pesach preparations, organized and overseen by Montreal’s kosher supervision, MK. From early morning until late afternoon, the energy and commitment were palpable.
The event featured multiple kashering stations, where participants brought their pots, pans, utensils, and cutlery to be koshered under the expert supervision of Rabbanim from MK – Montreal Kosher. Rabbis were present on-site throughout the day, answering Pesach-related sheilos and ensuring that every item was koshered according to strict halachic standards.
Outdoors, in a specially designated area, families gathered to burn their challah.
In addition, shatnez-checking services were offered, giving people peace of mind that their Yom Tov clothing was fully compliant with halacha. Community members also took the opportunity to drop off sheimos, ensuring that sacred materials were disposed of with kavod and care.
What truly stood out was the incredible unity. Ashkenazi, Sephardi, Chassidic, Lubavitch — Jews of all backgrounds came together with one goal: to prepare for Pesach with halachic integrity, community spirit, and joy.
