Non-Certified Bishul Beit Yosef Establishments
Some establishments may be able to prepare meals according to the Bishul Beit Yosef standard upon request. Although the MK does not currently officially certify this option, we do encourage you to kindly ask the establishment if they can accommodate your request. We are actively working to provide these establishments with proper training and clear guidelines, with the goal of enabling them to offer Bishul Beit Yosef service upon request in the near future.
Catered Events
When planning an event, certain caterers may accommodate Bishul Beit Yosef, at times for an additional charge. This extra fee typically covers the cost of hiring an additional mashgiach or Jewish employee to participate in the cooking, ensuring everything is done in accordance with Bishul Beit Yosef standards.
Unless the caterer is officially certified Bishul Yisrael, the MK does not certify caters to provide this service. However, anyone wishing to have their catered event Bishul Beit Yosef should reach out to the MK prior to confirming with the caterer. This allows the MK to determine whether we can help ensure that the standards are met. If approved, the MK can oversee and ensure that the employee assigned understands the Bishul Beit Yossef requirements.
