Romano Giorgi and Alan Serour announced today the merger of Tradition Catering "Tradition" and ETMO Catering Services Ltd. "ETMO" effective immediately. The Exception Boutique is also part of the merged entity and will continue to provide the delectable pastries and prêt-a-manger items that their clients have come to adore.
Both Tradition and ETMO are recognized as the gold standard in kosher catering in the Montreal community.
"We frequently had the same clients asking us to quote against one another," said Giorgi, who is best known for his ability to serve crowds of 500 guests without a hitch. "After so many years in the business, the time was approaching for me to pass on the torch, but in doing so I wanted to choose someone who would properly serve my clients. Alan combines the energy & passion of the young with the talent and experience of a seasoned chef. His reputation for working closely with his clients and for building strong relationships is what convinced me that left in Alan's care, my clients would be in good hands."
After working with Harvey Leavitt of ETMO for over a decade, Serour bought Leavitt out in 2010 and has since taken the Montreal kosher catering scene by storm, rapidly developing a reputation for his inspired cuisine, excellent service and easygoing rapport with his clients. ETMO has since seen exponential growth, which is why Serour was busy scouting out new premises when this opportunity came about. "We had substantially outgrown our current location, and it was time for a move," said Serour.
This past August, the two began to discuss the merits of collaborating efforts and are thrilled to now come together as one. Both Serour and Giorgi are known for their outstanding menus, stunning presentation and flawless service. These will continue to be the guiding forces as Serour moves into the 8,000 square-foot facility on Robert Burns previously occupied by Tradition to consolidate operations before the end of the year.
